Bombing to Yellowstone

Our dead sprint to beat Sunday's snow storm in Yellowstone kicked off to a good start. Despite a consistent uphill, we managed to travel around 130 miles. The first hour or two of the ride hovered around the freezing mark. I doubt the temperature reached much beyond 45 degrees. The higher elevations got more than a dusting of snow. Overall, Montana is beautiful state that has a lot to offer. Probably a little bit more to offer if you are a hunter, but the hunters should learn you just need a bike and rifle to see all of the wildlife. I'm guessing our deer count is over 100.

Green Jersey
Uneventful day for the green jersey. The one sprint point available (cow crossing). Unfortunately, this would have been a good sprint. Normally, one person does not see the sprint point, but we both spotted the fat blog cow sign. Respectful etiquette came into play, because Dave pulled my ass 80% of the ride today. Undoubtedly, I would have sprinted to victory to close the point gap if it weren't for my spirited sportsmanship.

Ok, now off to carbo load at some saloon or bar where we will definitely not fit in. That is until I order a Kokanee.
